What began as the Payson Candle Factory over four decades ago has grown into a one-of-a-kind gathering place where handcrafted cocktails, local history, and good company come together.

If you don’t LOVE your drink, please kindly let us know and we will prepare one you do.

Drunkenness is Prohibited, this isn’t amateur hour.
( Call it a night, we will call you a cab, just don’t call your EX.)

We are here to exceed your expecations. If we don’t, call us out.

UNPLUG and be present, this is a NO phone zone. Yes, we are serious. Please take all calls outside!

The customer is NOT ALWAYS right. We reserve the right to refuse service to any patron.

Long before Muk’s became a gathering place, these walls were known for handcrafted candles. Today, the tradition continues with hand-carved candles made on-site, along with a thoughtfully selected collection of gifts, décor, and seasonal favorites. It’s the same creativity and craftsmanship that’s been part of the Payson Candle Factory since 1979.

About Muk’s

For more than four decades, the Payson Candle Factory has been part of our mountain town. What began with handcrafted candles and a passion for creativity has grown into something new while still honoring the people who built it.

Named after Carol Reed, known as “Muk” to family and friends, Muk’s Candles & Cocktails carries on a family tradition that started right here in Swiss Village. Today, Carol’s granddaughter, Cierra, is continuing that legacy by bringing together the history of the candle factory with a welcoming place to enjoy a great drink and good company.
